Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026 | Last updated: October 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sussex Way Plumbing Co. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to our website at sussexwayplumbing-suotest.com (the "Site"). Please read this policy carefully before using the Site. If you have questions, the contact information at the end of this page will reach us directly.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information from two categories of sources: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically through standard website technology.
Information you give us directly
When you use the contact form on our Site, you provide your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and any message you include. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and, if you submit a service request, to send you a confirmation email. We do not add you to any mailing list without your agreement, and we do not sell or share your contact details with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Information collected automatically through website technology
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent on each page, links clicked, and scroll depth. Analyzed in aggregate and does not identify you individually.
- Conversion events: whether you clicked our phone number link or submitted the contact form. Used to measure how well the Site helps visitors take action.
- Device and browser information: device type, operating system, browser type and version.
- Approximate location: country and city, derived from your IP address. Not your precise street address.
- Technical data: your IP address is processed by our web hosting infrastructure to deliver the Site to your browser and to protect it from automated attacks.
How We Use Your Information
- Responding to inquiries: form submissions are used to respond to your message and to send you a confirmation that we received it.
- Site performance: aggregate analytics help us understand which pages are useful and how the Site performs on different devices and connection speeds.
- Security: technical and IP data is used to protect the Site from abuse and unauthorized access.
- Legal compliance: we retain records as required by applicable law.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces significant legal or financial effects on you.
Cookies and Tracking
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work correctly and help owners understand how visitors use them.
Cookies this Site uses
This Site uses cookies only for website analytics and security. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.
| Cookie | Provider | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Analytics | 2 years | Distinguishes individual visitors and counts new vs. returning visits. |
_ga_822NSJTQTG |
Google Analytics | Analytics | 2 years | Stores session state and records interactions (page views, clicks, form submissions) during each visit. |
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare | Security (strictly necessary) | 30 minutes | Protects the Site from automated bot traffic. Required for Site security; cannot be disabled without affecting functionality. |
How to manage cookies through your browser
You can view, delete, and block cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:
Blocking analytics cookies will not prevent you from using the Site but will prevent us from measuring its performance. The Cloudflare security cookie is strictly necessary and cannot be blocked without affecting Site security. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing activity not be tracked. This Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. For choices about analytics tracking, see the cookie management options above.
Third-Party Services
This Site uses the following third-party services. Each processes data as described and is governed by its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare, Inc. -- web hosting and security
Our Site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare delivers the Site to your browser, provides security services including protection against denial-of-service attacks, and processes your IP address and request data to do so. Cloudflare sets the __cf_bm security cookie described above.
Google Analytics -- website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics places cookies on your device (described above) and sends visit data -- pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device type, and whether you clicked our phone number or submitted a contact form -- to Google's servers in the United States for processing. We review the resulting reports to improve our Site. Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

Email delivery -- contact form
When you submit the contact form, your information (name, email, phone, message) is transmitted to us via a third-party email delivery service and is also used to send you an automated confirmation that your message was received. The delivery service processes your form data solely to transmit these messages and retains delivery logs for a limited period before deleting them. Your information is not used by the delivery service for any other purpose.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We share information only as described above -- with service providers that host the Site, deliver analytics, and transmit your contact form submissions to our inbox. Those providers are contractually permitted to use your information only for the purposes we specify. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the safety or rights of our business or others.
Data Retention
- Contact form inquiries: your message is delivered to our email inbox and retained in accordance with our normal business record-keeping practices. The email delivery service retains transmission logs for a limited period and then deletes them.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics retains visitor event data for 2 years by default.
- Security data: Cloudflare retains security and access logs in accordance with its own retention policy, typically 30 days for traffic analytics.
To request deletion of personal information you have provided to us, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information collected through this Site against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Our Site is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection), and our hosting provider, Cloudflare, provides enterprise-grade security infrastructure. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This Site may contain links to third-party websites, including social media profiles. This Privacy Policy applies only to our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any website we link to, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

This Site is operated in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using this Site, you acknowledge this transfer.
